These are the medicine songs of the grandmothers and sisters of the Moon Dance who come from all over the globe. These songs are prayers and I share them with deep reverence and gratitude. They have been codes which have opened up the portal of my voice.

2020 would be my fourth year of the Moon Dance in Teotihuacan, Mexico which would mean my completion and initiation... although each year truly feels like an initiation. Each fourth year dancer gets to share a gift with all of her moon dance sisters, so this album is my gift. A gift to my sisters, to the grandmothers, to my community, to my family, and to the global community at large.

And with that, I seal these prayers with Ometeotl, honoring the God of the dualities, to the light, the dark, the divine feminine, and the divine masculine. Honoring all that is, all that has been, and all that will be. And so it is. Blessed Be.

Thank you Abuela Malinalli Who has guided thousands of women in expressing themselves through song, dance, and sacred prayers. My biggest fear has been singing and being heard and Ollintlahuimetzli, the Movement of the Light of the Moon has shown me how to move gracefully through discomfort so that the true me can emerge.

Thank you to my madrina Guzel Gjenasaj Dreaming Deer Qlatzo.... Who has been a sacred vessel that reconnected me to this lineage. I prayed for a deeper connection to my ancestral roots, not knowing what that would look like. It’s blown my mind, my heart, my world open wide.

Thank you to my ihadas, my goddaughters, Tia-Marie Brown, Elwira Mietzal and Rosalina Rosales. Who have followed me into the unknown with full trust and nothing but joy And love in their hearts and gorgeous smiles on their faces.

To my producers Andy Tubman and Jesse Aldana who made this actually come into fruition. Andy, your friendship I cherish and your work I so deeply admire. Jesse, The richness of your stories and your role throughout this process has gone beyond producer. You are a magic maker and a phenomenal human being.

To my partner, my husband, the Austrian traveler I fell in love with and has loved me back so deeply, and been with me every step of the way. I am so incredibly blessed to have such a beautiful soulful man who has even showed up as a fire eagle and supported in keeping the sacred fire alive during the ceremony, he along with Jesse and the many other men who have showed up so powerfully, lovingly and compassionately.
